the tense dream of the debutante is still a popular tale even if society lives it less than it did before. we have our school proms and wedding tv and therefor the enchanted tale lives on inthe desires of young women and their mothers. the ballgown is the powerful focus point of this ultimate social occasion. the fascination of design and glaour of the dress is one that has always inspired little girls and artists too. a tea party is a performance which used absurdity and craft to create an intense happening. it let's us witness the power of the ballgown and the collaboration of two strong artistic visions
